    I never sleep in. My mother sees to that. She calls me at half-past seven, and she knocks and knocks and gives me no ease until I am up. By ten minutes to eight, as a rule, I am seated at breakfast and twenty minutes later I am ready for road. I take my hated (disgusted) school-bag, and off I go.
