  1. On my way to the station I met a friend, who called out : "Where are you going?" "To the train," said I. "Run or you will be late", said he "for as I came along, the guard was full of bustle and the porters were hurrying to get the carriage doors closed." You may be sure I hurried. Fortunately I was able to take my seat before the whistle blew. The train travelled very fast and we reached our journeys end sharp to time.
