  1. Pat is an old spend-thrift. He has spent his life spending all his earnings. It is said he is not able to buy a cat. He spends all his money in buying foolish things which are of no benefit to him. He eats barely enough and if you were to see him passing by you would think he was a tramp.Such an old coat as he wears. I suppose he hasn't got a new stitch for the past twelve years. People say he is starving himself to death. He looks so pale and thin. If he spent some of his money in doing good for himself and for others he would be much happier.
