- The sacrament of Confirmation was administered in our church last Thursday. This sacrament is administered only once every three years, and, as we all know no one can give it only a Bishop. Dr. Walsh was appointed auxiliary Bishop of Tuam a few months ago as the present Bishop, Dr. Gilmartin is old and weak. It was Dr. Walsh who administered the Sacrament of Confirmation last Thursday.We were all assembled at the church at about half-past nine.
