7/7/'38.Dear Srgt. Reynolds,
I wish to draw your attention to a number of thefts that have occurred in our house and in neighbouring houses recently. About a week ago two ducks were stolen out of our shed. Later we hear that a cart of turf, some geese and a bicycle were stolen from our neighbours. The whole village is in consternation. If this work is going to continue we shall not be able to live.I hope you will give your attention to this matter and call to the village as soon as you can and try(continues on next page)
