bodies could not be found, but a willow tree sprang up in the place and siged a mournful dirge for the departed lovers. In its branches a pair of turtle doves built their nests and they lived there and cooed all day. It was said that the souls of the departed lovers had taken the shape of turtle-doves and found happiness at last.
