   Franz kept wondering what his mother would send him and when at last a big parcel arrived he was full of excitement. In the parcel her found a blue velvet jacket trimmed with gold braid and fastened with glittering buttons such as the boys in town wore and, in one of the pockets he found a new knife.
   He liked his presents very much but he did not see how the knife could bring him luck
