putting on my coat. I take my bag and books and off I go.
When I eat my dinner I usually have to go out working until night falls. When I come in I sit beside the fire until tea is ready. When tea is over I learn my lessons for the next day, and if I am finished before Tom I try to keep him from learning his. Tom hates teasing. Sometimes my father reads us a story, but he is generally too busy, and once in while one of the neighbours comes in for a chat. If anyone tells a story you be sure that in the middle of it my mother will look at Tom and points to the clock. We always know what that means. Another day is done.
