  1. A House on Fire 13/1/'37
    I was returning from a dance at about 12 o'c. when I noticed smoke pouring from from one of the upper window-
    s. I then raised the alarm. I ran to the Fire Station at the Mall and the Brigade under Captains Hornby and Neligan was soon on the scene. However by that time there was no hope for the doomed premises.
    I noticed that the efforts of the Brigade were greatly hampered by poor water pressure and at times a mere trickle was coming from the hose. Attention have been called time and again to the need for an adequate water supply and the
