- Many many years ago I was a green leaf growing on a tall oak tree. Day after day I looked down to the earth, longing to be down there playing with the bunnies. My request was soon granted, but no sooner had I reached the earth than I was laden with many of my comrades.Year after year the leaves fell from the trees and I became pressed into the earth. Next the climate grew very hot, so, that the lake dried up and we were left without any moisture.
