    when Monday morning arrives - therefore I abhor that morning. When I hear the whirr of the alarm clock I remain for a moment in a fools Paradise. Then it suddenly dawns on me that it is Monday morning and I utter a mournful sigh.
    Some mornings I pretend not to hear the whirr of the alarm clock, but I have scarcely settled down for a second nod when my mother hammers on the door. How nice the blankets seem? Then I remember something. It is black Monday morning and Saturday is as far away as ever.
    After dinner I go out working and try to kill the evening until nightfall. Monday does not seem so bad then or Friday evening not so far away. Another day's
