  1. There are a lot of old ruins around this district. There is a ruin of an old mill in the Derreen. It is four storey hugh. There (were a lot of windows) in it. It was used to grind meal but now there there is a lot nettles and grass growing up where the floor was. The walls are covered with ivy and there is a ruin of an old house in Creeher it belonged to William Gately. There is nothing to be seen but the tracks of the doors and
