- There is an old ruin of a castle in Mount Talbott belonging to Mr. Talbott the lanlord. There is also a castle in Ballinasloe but was turned in to college. There is also a castle Durrycahal where one of Kings of Ireland was supposed to live. There was also a castle in Milltown and only the ruins of the four walls remain.
