My Home District.
I live in the town land of Ballyforan, in the parish of Dysart and Tisrara in the barony of Athlone. There are ten houses, five shops, a Post Office, two National Schools, and a church in Ballyforan. There is also a river - Suck a little distance from Ballyforan, there is a bridge built over the suck now.
Before this bridge was built, the people used to be crossing the suck where the water is shallow on stepping stones. That is how(continues on next page)- Collector
