Severe Weather.
About twenty years ago there was a bog in Kilmore four miles from the town Ballygar in Co. Galway, which moved with a flood and did a lot of harm. It knocked houses and horses and pigs were lost and one old woman was drowned. People had to change away from their houses and live in a big Castle nearby called Castlekelly.
All their land was covered with bog their crops were destroyed and left them in great poverty for the following year. All the people had to stay in the Castle until they got new houses. People(continues on next page)- Collector
