Local Cures.
Long ago, when there was no doctor in the country people used to cure themselves by herbs.
For a cut they used to get an herb of grass, and get fresh butter and put it on the herb of grass and roll it round the cut.
Other people used a cobweb and roll it wound the cut.
For a sprain people used to go to a running stream, and bathe the sprain with the water. People had to go six or nine times.
For a burn they used to get castor oil and starch and make it into a paste and spread(continues on next page)- Collector
