In the Parish of Tanghmac-Connell, there is a village named Brideswell. it got its name from a blessed well that is there.
There is a big stone beside the well, and two hollow's in it. and it is said that the two hollows represent the two tracks of Saint Brigids knees when she knelt praying on it. There are the ruins of an old Church there also that is supposed to be founded by Saint Brigid long ago.
