- My Home District.
My home is situated in the village of Creeher. I live in the townland of Ballygoran, in the parish of the Taughboy in the barony of Athlone and in the County Roscommon. There was seventeen houses in my village in olden times but there is five houses less in the village at present
There are three houses with slated roofs and there is ten with thatched roofs. The names most common in my district was Naughton and Healy.
The houses were all up in the middle of the village but some of the people changed down further when the land was plotted. There was a woman.(continues on next page)- Collector
