Local Cures
Long ago there were no doctors. if you had ring worm the seventh son or the seventh daughter could cure it by placing his hand on it three times and then the worm dies. They used to cure biols by getting ten gooseberry thorns, and throw away one, and throw away one, and then point them to the sty, and then the sty is cured. A headache was cured by vinegar.
