- Holy Wells.
There is a holy well in Castlegar in the townland of Ahascragh. It is called St. Kevin's Well. Mr. George Mahon the man who owned this field took the cross from the cross from the well and put it in his own room, because the people were going through Stations and he did not want them to be going through his land. He could not keep the cross long because cattle were dying on him time after time.
