My Home District.
I live in the village of Turpane in the Townland of Ballyforan in the Barony of Athlone in the parish of Toughboy and in the County of Roscommon.
There are seventeen houses in this village and all of them are thatched. There is a population of sixty-four people in this village six of them (is) over seventy and some of them are children. This village is divided into two parts and they are called Turpanemore and Turpanebeg There are eleven houses in Turpanemore and there are six(continues on next page)- Collector
