- About twenty years ago there was a bog in Killmore four miles from the town of Ballygar in Co Galway which moved with a flood and did a lot of harm.
It knocked house trees and houses. In the year 1933 we had a great snow-storm, it lasted for a week or more. The people could not travel because their cars got snow bound and they had to stay in the nearest town or village until the snow(continues on next page)- Collector
