    In olden times
    Headaches were cured by putting the steaming tea pot to the head. A bad cut in your hand or foot was cured by getting rib grass and butter and putting the coarse side of the grass to the sore and it will make it better. A sty in your eye was cured with ten gooseberrie thorns throw one away and point nine to your eye and it will cure it. The cure for wild fire was a gold ring rubbed on it. Sore eyes go to a well in Mylough and get a piece of cloth and wash
