    Weather Lore.
People say that when there are blue colours on the fire that is a sign of very wet weather.
When the North wind blows that is a sign we will have snow. When there is going to be a frost the sky is clear, and the wind blows from the East. In fine weather the smoke blows straight up the chimney. When we are going to have bad weather all the birds and breasts are fat.
