- I live in the village of Creeher in the townland of Ballyforan the parish of Taughboy the barony of Athlone and the County of Roscommon.
There are thirteen houses in my village ten thatched and three slated. There was a Sweat House in my village long ago and it was situated in Tom Gacquins land. The people put down the fire themselves and bring in a stool and sit down and sweat enough. There are fifty three people in my village. The most common name is Naughton.
