    A rainbow in the morning is the sign of bad weather, and a rainbow in the evening is the sign of good weather.
    Rain was expected when the cat was sitting with his tail to the fire.
    It was the sign of a storm when the hens stood on the roost and did not come down to their food. Frost is expected when butterflies are dancing on the window at night.
