    This is the way boils were cured with salt and buttermilk.
    Yellow Jaundice was cured by going to the well in Ballinlass in Mattie Kean's field called the "Yellow Well" on three successive mornings before sun rise and bathing in it.
    It is supposed that the people long ago cured Chilblains by going to a house you were never in before, Take off you shoes and leave your bare-feet on the hearth stone and the Chilblains would be cured.
