    had to pay them according to their classes. In those schools there were no seats. The children had to sit on stones and sods of turf.
    There was also a hedge school between the village of Derreen and Bohill. The teacher that taught in that school had asses teeth and when the children missed their lessons they would have to kiss the asses' teeth.
