In Summer the churn wants to be very cool and in Winter it wants to be well heated before churning. When churning the cream there is a glass in the lid of the churn that shows us when the butter is on the milk.
When the butter is made the plug is pulled from the churn. The butter milk comes into a pail and the butter remains in the churn the(continues on next page)
