    My Home District.
    I live in the town land of Ballyforan, in the parish of Dysart and Tisrara in the barony of Athlone. There are ten houses, five shops, a Post Office, two National Schools, and a church in Ballyforan. There is also a river - Suck a little distance from Ballyforan, there is a bridge built over the suck now.
    Before this bridge was built, the people used to be crossing the suck where the water is shallow on stepping stones. That is how
