    Whooping cough was cured by getting an ass and putting the child up on his back and let her go round three times and give the ass oatenmeal and then give the child what is left.
    There is a well in Ballinlass called the Yellow Well, and people go there three successive mornings. It is situated in Mattie Kean's field in Ballinlass, County Galway.
    A sore throat was cured by putting a woollen stocking in water and then put it round your neck.
