    The old people of long ago could tell when we were going to have fine weather or bad weather.
    When the clouds move quickly it is the sign of a storm.
    When there is a "blue blaze" in the fire it is the sign of snow.
    When the swallows fly low it is the sign of rain.
    When the wind blows from the North it is the sign of snow.
    If foxes bark much in October they are calling a great fall of snow.
    All the months in the year will curse a fair February.
