  1. There are many forts in this part of the country. There is one in Turpane and two in Creeher. These forts were (beieve) believed to be built by the Danes long ago. The Danes built these forts for protection. The forts were built on great heights and they had a great view from one fort to another.
    There are four or five children who were not baptised buried in the in Turpane fort.
