    Long ago the people had more trouble making the bread than the people nowadays because each farmer had to grind his own corn and wheat and each farm house had its own mill.
    This mill consisted of two large flat stones. The grinding was done by putting the corn or wheat between the two stones and rubbing one of the other.
    Long ago people used large quantities of oaten bread which they baked on a griddle. They also baked the bread on supports which they set before the fire. They never baked any sweet
