They would pull the spancel as if milking a cow and certain words they would say Mr. Mangan's milk (with me) or something of the likes that would bring the milk. They would also get the entrails of a certain animal. They would put them into a sciath and take them to a running atream with their hands and pull the sciath through the water and say (certain) such and such a man's milk with me and that person would have the milk.
