  1. Long ago there was no meats used. They used eat turnips and some used boil turnips and eat them. The people long ago used get up at four o'clock in the morning and go out to work and then come in to their breakfast and eat potatoes and salt and then go out to work again. The meals consisted of potatoes and salt and milk. The table used be put in the middle of the house in case of a big family.
