  1. St. Brigid Day. The people make crosses of timber and put them on the rafters of their houses in honour of St. Brigid.
    St Patrick's Day. It is a custom to wear shamrock, harps and green ribbons.
    Chalk Sunday. Those that did not marry get chalked by a crowd that generally collect at the chapel gate.
