  1. These are the wild birds we have in our district:- thrush, blackbird, robin, magpie, linnet, rook, yellowhammer, pigeons, curlew, wren, and all the rest.
    The thrush builds her nest in a hedge. It is made of moss, sticks, and mud. She covers the nest with wet mud and goes into it and flapps her wings and makes it quite smooth. The Thrush's eggs are blue with white dots on them. The thrush lays five eggs, and she stays with us all the year round.
    The blackbird builds her nest in a scort of bushes. She lays four eggs, and the colour of them is blue with grey dots on them. The rook builds her nest on the top of the highest tree, it is made of sticks, and hair of cattle. The rook lays two
