    St Brigid's day. The people make crosses and put them on the rafters in honour of St. Brigid. The crosses are made of rushes and wood.
    St Patrick's day. The people wear shamrock on their coats in honour of St. Patrick. The shamrock is picked on the railway line.
    Chalk Sunday. If people were not married they would be chalked on Chalk Sunday.
