  1. There is a fair held in Listowel every fortnight. They are usually held in the Square. When a fair is held a toll is paid and this money is payed to Lord Listowel. The cattle are sold to the local people and to the buyers. When any animal is sold luck money is usually given.
    Also there are three big fairs held every year, one in May, one in July and one in October. There are also special fairs for horses, cattle, pigs and bonhams. When cattle are sold the marks put on them by the buyers are of different colours as red, blue, chalk colours etc.
