On last week the races were held in Listowel. They were held on the Island, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On last year the races were much better. There were more horses present. I was at the races on the second day. It was a beautiful day. I was not in the Island but I saw them from the Market cliff. I was more interested in the Market than in the races. Both markets were packed with plays. When the races were all over the market was thronged with people. When it was about 7 o'clock the people began to go home and about 8 o'clock the market that was thronged was almost empty. It was about nine o'clock
