The Killocrim National school was opened on Monday last by the Rev. Canon Fitzgerald P. P. A large crowd of people from the district attended.
The school is very cosy and warm although there are no fires in it at present. Before, we had to walk four miles, and now we have not far to go. The school is very nicely kept, every evening before we go home, four girls and four boys have to brush out the two class-rooms.
Seventy pupils attend now, and we have two teachers and they are very nice. They have no slappers yet but will soon get them.
