  1. They are held in towns. They are held once a fortnight. You must pay toll on cattle when they are sold. There is luck money given in animals when they are sold. It is called the "luck pinny". Some times they are marked with chalk and more times they are cut with a scissors. When an animal is sold the halter and rope is given away. There is a special fair for horses and pigs. There are three big fairs in the year, May fair, July fair and the October fair.
