  1. O Christmas the crib in the back window and decorate with holley.
    On Christmas eve we put the candles into mangolds and light them. My father lights them at six o'clock. We put a candle in each window and they are left lighting all night. We put up another set of candles on New Years Eve and Little Christmas eve. We put a Sacred Heart lamp and small coloured candles in front of the crib.
    On St. Stephens Day groups of men and children go around in the wren. They have great music fiddles, melodeons, drums, tombrens, flutes, mouthorgans. They travel about six miles from here collecting for the wren
