  1. There are several fairy forts in our school district. There is one in the townland of Gurtacrissane and there are two in the townland of Ballyhorgan. The one in Gurtacrissane is circular in shape with a mud fence round it, there are blackthorn trees growing on it. There is a passage in the fence about three feet wide. The fence is about four feet high. In the centre of the fort there is a large hole and the hole is covered with briars.
    One sunday night a young man was coming from Dromlought hall about half past twelve. He was coming a short cut to the house he was working. There was a fort in the field
