  1. During the fishing season this year, a boy named Patrick Connell was net-fishing for his father. One week he was up two nights and two days. The third night he was up he went to sleep in the hut they had built on the bank. About nine o'clock he walked out of the hut. He was asleep. He jumped across the bank and a rope that was tying the boat knocked him. He fell into the river and another fisherman followed him and he pulled him in and he was asleep. Then his father came out of the hut and he gave him three kicks to wake him. He went home to take off his clothes and go to bed.
