  1. The Listowel races were held in the Island on last tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The races this year were not as good as last year, there were more horses and bigger crowd last year.
I attended or went to the races on Thursday. As the morning was raining I did not go early. When I arrived in Listowel it was two o'clock. I did not go over to the Island but stayed in the Market at the shows. Here were swinging-boats, chairplains, looping the loop and many other forms of entertainment.
