At Purt there is a Geraldine castle. The ruins are still to be seen. The young chieftain was hunting with his followed one day it was dark. before he returned home. On his way home he turned into the house of a poor man and asked for a meal for himself and his followers, the poor man had a beautiful daughter and the chieftain fell in love with her. His people deserted him and he fled to Tralee for protection. The people of the place made a song after him.
By the Teal's wave beknighted no stars in the sky.
