  1. A Purt castle, 2 miles from Abbeyfeale it is said that the Geraldines hid money and other gold things there when they were flighting to Tralee.
Once a fortune-teller woman told a man he would get gold, if he went there on a Friday night and to dig down 4 feet and to go there at 12 o'clock. He went there with another man and he took a lantern with him, he had been diging for five minutes when he heard a bull and the rattling of chains. Then he went home and knew that the woman only wanted money.
