  1. There is a pattern held in Lixnaw every year on the twenty ninth of September. It is held in honour of Saint Michael. All the people of the parish gather together in the village on that day and they sing and dance and play music and have many other forms of amusement. Old women come there with tents selling sweets, apples, oranges and buns and all the children buy them.
